EXPERIENCE
From Scudellate, which is located at the top of the Muggio Valley, there is a magnificent view over the entire valley, over the Po valley to the south, while on the eastern side is the Italian border, whose peaks of Sasso Gordona and Bisbino overlook Lake Como to the rear. On the western slope we find the various Swiss alpine pastures of Muggiasca and Pianspessa until we descend to the Caviano alp overlooking the Mendrisio plain. Behind us we find Monte Generoso with its 1700 m peak watching and protecting us and offering countless paths and views over the Muggio Valley to the south and Lake Lugano and the Alps to the north. From Scudellate it is possible to take many trails to suit everyone’s needs. The itineraries are varied and allow hikers to enjoy the rarities in the alpine basin of Monte Generoso. Among the unique sights to be admired are the snowfields, roccoli and alpine pastures. The Monte Generoso massif has also always been visited and known throughout the world because of the fantastic scenery it offers. The flora and fauna, unique to the area, combined with the incredible views guarantee hikers unrepeatable scenery to immortalise with a shot or simply to remember forever.

Excursions of all kinds can also be undertaken throughout the Muggio Valley. One can admire the small, but historically rich, villages that make up the valley as well as immerse oneself in nature thanks to a vast network of paths that can be followed on foot or by bicycle. From Scudellate you can quickly reach strategic starting points by post bus or on foot.
